COACH STEVE WELLS' COMMENTS: "We knew going in that Atlanta had a pretty salty defense, athletic on the edges especially. We got the punt blocked right off, and it felt like our defense played pretty well most of the game. We hold them to a field goal after the block, and then we hit the long play but fumbled the ball. We just had way too many mistakes.
"We battled back and had them on the ropes just before halftime. We got the ball back with over four minutes left and decent field position, with a chance to go score and win the ballgame. There were just too many mistakes, too many dropped balls. Wer had chances to make some plays, and we've got to understand we have to make those plays to be successful."
