NEW BOSTON, Texas-New Boston won the eighth-grade match over DeKalb at Lion Gym Monday.
The Lady Lions took the decision, 25-8, 25-16, with Alyssa Little serving 13 points. Leslie Moles had seven for the Lady Bears.
DeKalb won the seventh-grade match, 25-15, 25-9, with Bailey Barger and Anna-Claire Raulston serving seven points apiece. Gracie Brown and Kayleigh Henson had two points each for the Lions.
Lady Mustangs win three
REDWATER, Texas-Red Lick won 3 of 4 junior high matches over host Redwater.
The Lady Mustangs claimed a 25-8, 25-23 win in the eighth-grade A match, with Taylor Hicks serving 13 points. Sydney McBride had seven for the Lady Dragons.
RL won the seventh-grade A match, 25-20, 26-24, with Izzie Daniels serving seven. Kassidy Warner paced Redwater with six points.
The Mustangs won the eighth-grade B contest, 25-9, 25-7, with Grace Henard leadinthe way with 15 points. Destiny Paul had three for the Dragons. Katie Taylor had seven winners for Redwater in the seventh-grade B teams' 25-22 win. Dalaine Edwards paced Red Lick with six points.
PG takes 3 of 4
Pleasant Grove won a trio of middle school matches against visiting Pittsburg, including a 25-21, 25-10 victory in the seventh-grade A match behind Sarah Hale's six points.
The Lady Hawks' eighth-grade A team won, 25-8, 25-14, with Alley Harjo, Macy Young and Abby Howell serving eight winners each.
Abby Davidson had 14 points during PG's 25-13, 25-14 win in the eighth-grade B match. Each team won a set in the seventh-grade B match, PG winning the first 25-13, and Pitt taking the second, 25-22. Kelsi Clark and Kara Richardson served nine apiece.
TMS splits with Greenville
Texas Middle School won a pair and lost a pair against Greenville, the Lady Tigers winning the seventh-grade A match, 25-19, 25-11 with Valeria Perez serving 17 winners.
Greenville won the eighth-grade A match, 25-22, 25-20. Emily Meunier served nine for TMS.
The Tigers won the eighth-grade B contest, 25-21, 25-21, with Prashansa Johnson serving 10 points. The Lady Lions won the 7th grade B match, 25-12, 25-14, with Ashlyn Foster serving seven for Texas Middle School.
Lady Bulldogs sweep Detroit
AVERY, Texas-Avery defeated Detroit in both matches, with the Lady Bulldogs securing the eighth-grade contest, 25-13, 25-21.
Julianna Burkett and Olivia Watkins had eight points each for the Bulldogs.
Avery's seventh-grade rallied to win its match, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20. Riley Gilreath served 18 points for the Bulldogs, and Ashlynn Travillion added 10.
