Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/BENJAMIN KRAIN --11/28/2013-- Leah Thorvilson excites a crowd of runners by yelling a turkey gobble impression into a bullhorn Thursday morning before the start of the Thanksgiving Day Gobbler Turkey Trot at Go! Running in Little Rock. Participants brought canned goods and non-perishable food donations to enter the event instead of paying entry fees.

SITE, TIME: One game playoff at Northeast Texas Community College, 6 p.m.

AT STAKE: Class 3A bi-district title.

COACH'S COMMENTS: Hughes Springs' Tisha Thompson-"We are feeling pretty good and coming out of a tough district will help. We need to have solid pitching. As long as we have solid pitching and solid defense, the bats will be just fine.

"I watched Winnsboro play Cooper in a seeding game. They didn't win but they are a feisty bunch. They were down early and fought back hard."

NEXT ROUND: The winner advances to play either Troup or New Diana in the area round.
