REDWATER, Texas-Bethanee Calicott served in 14 points and had 14 assists as Redwater defeated Ore City 25-13, 25-17, 25-11 in a varsity volleyball match at Dragon Gym Tuesday.
Bailey O'Bannon put down eight kills and had six blocks for the Lady Dragons, while teammate Bella Fernandez made 11 digs.
Tori Pena served in five winners for the Lady Rebels.
Emily Hoosier had 12 service points as Ore City won the junior varsity A match, 21-25, 25-19, 25-16. Ashton Holland paced Redwater with 12 service points.
Kailyn Hanson slapped in 21 service points as the Dragons' junior varsity B team defeated the Rebels 25-9, 25-15. Shadiamond Tatum had four points for Ore City.
Lady Lions fall to Tigers
NEW BOSTON, Texas-Morgan McAlexander slapped in 10 service points for New Boston, but the Lady Lions fell to Mount Vernon, 25-22, 17-25, 25-21, 25-23.
Lauren Daniel had eight service winners as New Boston won the junior varsity A match, 25-18, 25-19.
The Lions lost the junior varsity B match, 25-4, 25-7.
Avery sweeps Hooks
AVERY, Texas-Taylor Williams slammed 12 service points for Avery in the win against Hooks, 25-16, 25-17, 32-30. Cassidy Kelsoe added 25 assists, four kills, five digs and one block for the Lady Bulldogs. Jill Whitney added eight service points, 19 kills and 1o digs for Avery.
The Lady Bulldogs won the junior varsity match against Hooks, 25-6, 25-16. Ashten Simington led Avery with 11 service points, while Quinn Lipe added nine.
Avery defeated the Lady Hornets in the 9th grade contest, 25-13, 25-16. Amy Lamon led all scorers with 14 service points for the Lady Bulldogs.
Lady Brahmas sweep Lady Tigers
CLARKSVILLE, Texas-Calli Osmon had 13 service points, and Paul Pewitt swept Clarksville, 28-26, 25-18, 25-17.
Brelee Lawings helped out with 11 service points, Kenzie Traylor made 14 assists, and Ebbony Cobbins hit down seven kills for the Lady Brahmas.
Jacie Crocker and Mya Heath served in 12 winners each as Pewitt swept the Lady Tigers, 25-17, 25-8.
