Texas High goes 3-0 overall with defeat of Mandfield Lake Ridge

MIDLOTHIAN, Texas-Texas High's varsity tennis team brought their record to 3-0 overall during the fall season. The Tigers defeated Mansfield Lake Ridge, 16-3, at Midlothian Heritage.

Quinn Sanders defeated Huerta in boys singles, 6-2, 6-2.

Alec Rommel defeated Hrabel, 6-2, 6-1.

Walker Trippe defeated Brooks, 6-2, 6-2.

Jebin Justin defeated Reese Gray, 6-2, 6-1.

Rhett Young defeated Matt Phan, 6-1, 6-2.

Conner Elliot defeated Billy Williams, 8-5.

Landon Durham defeated Zach Hash, 8-5.

Reagan Potts lost to Kennedy Cook, 3-6, 6-7.

Janie Rounds defeated Emma Wolfe, 6-1, 6-0.

Cayli Clack defeated Olivia Crum, 6-3, 6-4.

Sarah Rogers defeated Hope Martin, 6-1, 6-2.

Julia Whitehorn lost to MaKayla Otakpor, 4-6, 6-2, 7-10.

Jaci Ammons defeated Ashton Donson, 9-7.

 

VOLLEYBALL

Lady Leopards split

MARSHALL, Texas-Liberty-
Eylau won two of their three games on Saturday in the Marshall varsity volleyball
tournament.

Liberty-Eylau fell to Gilmer in the first game, 20-25, 25-20, 18-25. Taylor Crabtree led the Lady Leopards with 11 service points, 15 service receptions and 20 digs. Amoiya Gentry added seven kills and five
blocks.

The Lady Leopards defeated John Tyler in the second game, 18-25, 25-22, 25-8. Decoria Meadows led L-E with 17 service points. Keeley Norris added five kills and five blocks. Crabtree finished the match with 18 service receptions and 15
digs.

L-E defeated Troup in their third match of the tournament, 26-24, 25-23. Kaliyah Thompson led the Lady Leopards with seven service points, seven digs and six kills. Crabtree added 17 service receptions and eight digs. Norris chipped in seven kills with six blocks and Gentry slammed eight
kills.

 

Lady Tigers win at Wills Point

WILLS POINT, Texas-Texas High finish in second place at the Wills Point varsity volleyball
tournament.

THS beat Grand Saline, 25-15, 25-11. Mia Wilson led the Lady Tigers with six digs and 20 service points. Kaitlyn Cross added seven kills and nine service points.

The Lady Tigers beat Greenville, 26-24, 25-17. Treyaunna Rush led the attack with 11 kills and six digs. Katelyn Jordan finished the match with 10 assists, five digs and 12 service
points.

THS fell to Kaufman, 23-25, 23-25. Olivia Lower led the Lady Tigers with seven kills, eight digs and six service points.
