Pleasant Grove enters new territory in its postseason journey and Foreman will get its chance to be named the best of its class this week.
In a battle of unbeatens, Pleasant Grove (14-0) and Graham (14-0) will battle it out in the Class 4A, Division II state semifinals-PG's first-ever appearance-at 7 p.m. on Thursday at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The Hawks advanced after the school's record-setting 55-14 win over Melissa in the quarterfinals.
Foreman (12-1) will be under the bright lights against undefeated Mount Ida (14-0) in the Class 2A state championship game at 7 p.m. on Friday at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. The Gators throttled Salem, 41-7, in the semifinal round.
