COACH JOSH GIBSON'S COMMENTS: "The biggest thing that I am proud of is the growth that we've continued to have. We have continued to strive and get better. We beat some state ranked teams this year and went three rounds deep in the playoffs. The success helps put Pleasant Grove football on the map.
"The relationships with the kids and coaches is what I have enjoyed the most. This is the closest team I have ever coached. All of the seniors were team oriented and accepting of all the other players; just like a family. It was cool to go to practice with kids who wanted to be together, and I will cherish this season for a long time. It is a unique thing.
"I think we surpassed expectations. We earned the No. 2 seed in one of the hardest districts in the state. I am pleased with how we ended up and with how it went. One poll had us 11th, but I believe we finished as a top 10 team in Texas."
