Eighth-grade Tigers remain unbeaten

Tigers top Greenville

GREENVILLE, Texas-Texas Middle School's eighth-grade A team defeated Greenville on the court to remain unbeaten, 51-26.

Jayden Godwin led the Tigers offensively with 16 points, and Braylen Stewart added 9 points. Braxton White and Javarious Tyson each scored 8 points for TMS.

 

The eighth-grade TMS B squad defeated Greenville, 39-27.

Kameron Thomas scored a game-high 16 points for the Tigers, and Jake McGuire added 8 points.

The Tigers are back in action on Monday, hosting Hallsville at 5 p.m.

Lady Leopards past Paris
 

Liberty-Eylau's eighth-grade A squad defeated Paris on the hardwood, 51-29.

Brianna Block led L-E with 16 points.

L-E fell to Paris in the seventh-grade A game, 29-18.

Alexandria Threats led the Lady Leopards offensively with 8 points.

Paris defeated L-E in the seventh-grade B game, 14-5.

Iyah Hanson scored three points for the Lady Leopards.

Hooks, QC split

QUEEN CITY, Texas-Queen City's eighth-grade A squad defeated Hooks, 44-34.

Arlender White led QC with 10 points and Kielon Estell scored 15 points for the Hornets.

The Bulldogs fell to Hooks in the eighth-grade B game, 18-13.

Logan Clements led the Hornets with 6 points.

The Hornets defeated QC in the seventh-grade A game, 42-12.

Matthew Hayes led Hooks with 13 points and Logan Davis added 11 points.

Queen City beat Hooks in the seventh-grade B game, 19-14.

Brett Didway led the Bulldogs with 8 points, and Kamren Stiger led Hooks with 6 points.

Lady Tigers blank Greenville

Texas Middle School's eighth-grade girls A team blanked Greenville, 58-0.

Sa'myah Smith led TMS with a game-high 22 points.

Greenville's eighth-grade B team defeated the Lady Tigers, 19-17.

Kalea Edmonds, Sydney Watts and Jaylen Henderson each scored 4 points for TMS.

The Lady Tigers seventh-grade A team defeated Greenville, 55-21.

Annie Powell led TMS with 16 points and Delana Augustus added 15 points.

Greenville defeated the seventh-grade B team Lady Tigers, 17-13.

Sha'Dymond Simms led TMS with 7 points.

Lady Bears top Lions

NEW BOSTON, Texas-DeKalb's eighth-grade A squad beat New Boston, 43-17.

Aniyah Johnson led the Lady Bears with 23 points.

New Boston won the eighth-grade B game against DeKalb, 14-13.

Arianna Augillar led New Boston with 6 points, and Madison Jones scored 5 points for the Lady Bears.

The Lady Lions fell to Dekalb in the seventh-grade A game, 27-8.

Moria McChester led New Boston with four points and Corinna Fulbright led the Lady Bears with a game-high 13 points.

DeKalb defeated the Lady Lions in the seventh-grade B game, 18-4.

Jaylym Hayden led the Lady Bears with 10 points.

Hughes Springs over DeKalb

DeKALB, Texas-Hughes Springs defeated DeKalb in the freshman game, 60-30.

Taijon Wright led the Bears with 10 points.

Bears, NB split

DeKALB, Texas-New Boston defeated DeKalb in the eighth-grade A contest, 26-25.

Clay Fant led the Lions with 8 points.

The Bears beat the Lions in the eighth-grade B game, 15-6.

DeKalb defeated New Boston in the seventh-grade A game, 44-28.

Demetris McChester led the Lions with 10 points.

Lady Backs to Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, Ark.-North Heights Junior High's eighth-grade squad defeated Magnolia, 25-11.

Jamiya Montgomery led NHJH with 11 points and Keonnie Strickland added eight points.

The Lady Backs seventh-grade squad defeated Magnolia, 10-5.

Searia Watson led NHJH offensively with 7 points.

McLeod, Maud split

MAUD, Texas-Maud defeated McLeod in the eighth-grade boys game, 53-34.

Tyler Williams led McLeod with 11 points.

The Lady Longhorns defeated Maud in the eighth-grade girls game, 30-3.

Gracie Lance led McLeod with 9 points, and Payton Taylor added 7 points.

The Longhorns defeated Maud in the seventh-grade boys game, 37-8.

Preston Bishop led McLeod with 12 points.

McLeod's seventh-grade girls squad defeated Maud, 18-5.

Chasity Gryder led the Lady Horns with 11 points.

Lady Hornets, Lady Bulldogs split

HOOKS, Texas-Queen City's eighth-grade A squad beat Hooks, 30-24.

Lindra Burchette led the Lady Hornets with 14 points. Nyla Harrison led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 and Chyna Stiger added 10 points.

QC won the eighth-grade B game over Hooks, 28-4.

The Lady Hornets won the seventh-grade A game against Queen City, 40-7.

Alley Jefferson led Hooks offensively with 25 points, and Kelli Latham added 15 points.

Hooks won the seventh-grade B game with QC, 12-10.

PG sweeps North Lamar

Pleasant Grove's eighth-grade A team defeated North Lamar at home, 35-17.

Hallie Lipham led the Lady Hawks with 14 points.

PG's seventh-grade A squad defeated North Lamar, 26-8. Mackenzie Williams led the Lady Hawks offensively with 7 points.

The Lady Hawks eighth-grade B team defeated North Lamar, 15-10. Timia Cooks led PG with 7 points.

Pleasant Grove's seventh-grade B team beat North Lamar, 13-11. Courtney Kirk led PG with 4 points.

Paul Pewitt tops Hughes Springs

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Hughes Springs fell to Paul Pewitt's eighth-grade A squad, 31-24. Sydney Gentry led Paul Pewitt with 15 points.

Hughes Springs defeated Paul Pewitt in the eighth-grade B game, 18-2.

Pewitt defeated the Lady Mustangs in the seventh-grade A game, 37-8.

McKayla Jackson led Paul Pewitt offensively with 18 points.

Pewitt defeated Hughes Springs in the seventh-grade B game, 7-2.

Zyan Knox led all scorers with 7 points.

 

Redwater tops Red Lick

REDWATER, Texas-Redwater's eighth-grade squad defeated Red Lick, 42-40.

Malcolm Brown led the Dragons with 18 points. Kason Wright led Red Lick with 11 points, while Logan Mcleod and Andrew Snow each scored 10 points.

The Dragons defeated Red Lick in the eighth-grade B contest, 24-13.

Hunter Morst led Redwater with nine points and Red Lick with 6 points.

The Dragons defeated Red Lick in the seventh-grade A game, 36-33.

Austin Smith led Redwater with 15 points and Alex Calicott added 13 points. Ben Bricker led Red Lick with 15 points.

Redwater fell to Red Lick in the seventh-grade B game, 16-12.

Fouke defeated Lafayette County, 35-9.

Christa Wall led the Lady Panthers with 12 points, and Azura Seamster led Lafayette County with 7 points.

Genoa Central defeated Taylor, 37-15.

Donna Jo Rowe led the Lady Dragons with 12 points and Kelsie Goodner led Taylor with 9 points.

Boys
Lafayette County defeated Fouke, 48-18.

Cedric Williams led Lafayette County with 14 points.

Genoa Central throttled Taylor, 43-10.

Trent Bearden led the Dragons with 10 points, and Jamison Rich finished with 30 points for Taylor.
