Tiger eighth-graders upend Hallsville

Jayden Godwin lit up the nets for 11 points to lead Texas Middle School's 8th grade A to a 47-21 victory over Hallsville at the Tiger Center.

Michael Thomas helped out with nine points for TMS (9-0).

Kameron Thomas kept the scorekeeper busy as he poured in 15 points in the Tigers' 8th B's 35-34 double overtime win.

Jayvean Shepherd scored 10 point and teammate Gabe Dodson added nine, but the Tigers lost the 7th A game, 30-24.

Jayden Jordan had nine points, but TMS fell in overtime to Hallsville in the 7th B game, 31-30.

Redwater tops Hughes Springs

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Malcolm Brown's 16 points propelled Redwater past Hughes Springs in the 8th grade A game, 31-5.

Jonathan Ketchum added seven points for the Dragons.

Redwater defeated Hughes Springs in the 8th grade B game, 18-4.

Kyle Mandarich led the Dragons with eight points and Carson Bowman added six points.

The Mustangs defeated the Dragons in the 7th grade A game, 30-19.

Austin Smith led Redwater with seven points and Alex Calicott added six points.

Redwater won the 7th grade B game against Hughes Springs, 12-5.

Gage Dupree led the Dragons with six points and Dalton Dwight contributed five points.
 

Red Lick, New Boston split
 

RED LICK, Texas-Red Lick defeated New Boston in the 8th grade A game, 46-25.

Logan Mcleod and Kason Wright each scored 12 points for Red Lick. Caden Glass and Clay Fant each scored six points for the Lions.

Red Lick won the 8th grade B game against New Boston, 24-21.

Carter Prewitt and Jeremy Creek each scored 10 points for Red Lick. Matthew Bonilla led the Lions with six points.

New Boston won the 7th grade A game with Red Lick, 36-29.

Ben Bricker led Red Lick with 17 points and Nick Jefferson led New Boston with 15 points.

The Lions won the 7th grade B game with Red Lick, 10-8.

DeKalb trumps Queen City

QUEEN CITY, Texas-DeKalb defeated Queen City in the 8th grade A game, 40-8.

Queen City won the 8th grade B game, 16-2.

McKenzie Martin led the Lady Bulldogs with eight points and Jade Whitehorn added six points.

The Lady Bears defeated Queen City in the 7th grade A game, 34-11.

Landri Beckham led the Lady Bulldogs with seven points.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to DeKalb in the 7th grade B game, 50-2.

Redwater inks 3 wins

REDWATER, Texas-Kassidy Warner scored 14 points to lead Redwater's 8th grade A over Hughes Springs, 35-25.

Meredith Craig paced the Lady Dragons' 7th A with eight points, and Redwater's 7th A team rolled to a 28-2 victory.

Abby Harmon scored six points as the Dragons' 7th B team blanked the Lady Mustangs, 7-0.

Pewitt wins 3 of 4

OMAHA-NAPLES, Texas-Aubrey Neuman poured in 11 points as Paul Pewitt's 8th grade A team defeated Daingerfield, 39-26.

Sydney Gentry added 10 points for the Lady Brahmas.

Tristin Carpenter scored four points, and Pewitt won the 8th B game, 8-6.

McKayla Jackson led all scorers with 22 points, and the Brahmas coasted to a 51-2 victory in the 7th A game. Adazh'a Cooper helped out with 10 points.

The Lady Tigers defeated Pewitt, 11-10, in the 7th B game. Zyan Knox had six points for the Brahmas.

New Boston earns two Ws

NEW BOSTON, Texas-Ann Elise Lindsay had a game-high 17 points to lead Red Lick's 8th A to a 43-14 win over New Boston.

Amya Walker paced the Lady Lions with eight points.

Lillian McGill lit up the nets for 13 points, and New Boston rolled past the Mustangs in the 8th B game, 23-4.

Romayne McChester poured in 12 points, and the Lions dominated the 7th B game, 39-2.
