BOGATA, Texas-McLeod's girls and Daingerfield's boys will compete in a playoff doubleheader at Rivercrest's Rebel Gym today.
The Tigers, winners of District 14-3A, play Paris Chisum in a boys Class 3A bi-district game at 6 p.m.
The Lady Longhorns (27-6) face Union Grove (26-7) in the second game, approximately at 8 p.m. in a Class 2A regional quarterfinal matchup.
"Union Grove was on our district the last two years, and they didn't graduate anyone from last season," McLeod coach Marty Francis said. "We know what they have, they know what we have, and so it's a bit like a district game really.
"There's no secrets. We know who we have to stop, and they know who they have to stop. We told the girls to just go play the game."
McLeod outlasted Campbell, 69-65, and the Lady Lions topped Wolfe City, 44-27.
The Longhorns have last been three rounds deep in the postseason seven years ago.
"Against Campbell we were down eight at halftime and came out in the third quarter and scored five straight buckets," Francis said. "The girls have responded well; we're mostly juniors and a sophomore.
"They've done everything we've asked them to do, and I couldn't be more proud of them."
McLeod's starting lineup will include a combination of Tessa Glenn, Selena Moon, Shelby Davis and Anna Parker at guards, Emma Parker at post, and Jillian Ellis at wing.
The winner of the Longhorn-Union Grove game will advance to play either Bells or Era in the Region II-2A semifinals Friday at McKinney North High School.
The Daingerfield-Chisum winner faces either Arp or Ore City in the area round later this week.
