The Hogs and Wildcats clash at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Wildcat Gym.

"It's been too long ,and I think the community deserves to be there," Arkansas High head coach Sam Weaver said. "The kids have worked hard for this. We had some things happen early for us this year, and I'm excited to be a part of it."

Weaver and his troops travel to El Dorado to battle the Wildcats for a conference title and also favorable seeding in the state tournament.

"El Dorado is a great example of what 6A basketball should look like," Weaver said. "We've put ourselves in position that if we stump our toe, we can came back and play again. El Dorado has some guys that can really play. Daniel Gafford and Czar Perry are two of the best in the state, and we look forward to the game Saturday."

Although AHS is a senior driven team, Weaver hopes his 21-6 season is a springboard for his younger players to follow suit.

"I hope our winning has laid a foundation for our younger players, but I hope it flows over to our other sports programs here at Arkansas High," Weaver said. "Winning can only bring a positive impact towards your school."

After Tuesday's game, the Razorbacks became one of the top four teams in conference 6A.
