Texas High has found its next head football coach, pending school board approval, according to two media sources Thursday.

Matt Stepp of TexasFootball.com tweeted that Flower Mound Marcus head coach Gerry Stanford will be named the new Tiger coach and athletic director, pending board approval, and an article published on starlocalmedia.com confirmed that Stanford had informed his team on Thursday of his decision.

"We formalized the decision yesterday and had been in conversations for about three weeks," Stanford said in the article. "I just felt like the situation for my family was a good one."
