Hughes Springs added to its first regional championship and appearance in the state tournament, by adding three superlatives and two first team selections on the 14-3A All-District softball team.
Redwater had two superlatives and three first-teamers, while New Boston added a superlative and two first team selections.
Hughes Springs junior Peyton Blythe was Player of the Year, while teammate sophomore Zoe Lanier was selected as Pitcher of the Year. Hughes Springs head coach Tisha Thompson was selected as Coach of the Year.
Redwater senior Ramzi Smith was Defensive Player of the Year and teammate sophomore Bethanee Calicott was selected as Newcomer of the Year.
Hughes Springs sophomore Marisol Kennedy and senior Katelyn Roth were first-team selections.
Redwater juniors Sara Easley, Savannah Corbell and senior Karli Boatright were named to the all-district first-team.
New Boston junior McKenzee Thomas and sophomore Morgan McAlexander were all-district first-team selections.
Hooks seniors Rachel Latimer, Brandi Hout, Kaylee Pope and junior Madison Whisenhunt were all-district first-teamers. Sophomore teammate Marena Estell also was named to the first-team.
Queen City senior Maci Stringer and sophomore Marlee Durmon were selected to the 14-3A All-District first-team.
Daingerfield senior Camryn Byrd was selected as a all-district first-teamer.
DeKalb junior Railey Rankin rounded out the first-team all-district selctions.
