Fouke girls cruise past Waldron, 67-39

FOUKE, Ark.-Fouke was powered by Hannah Mauldin's double-double and coasted to a 67-39 win over Waldron on Saturday.

Mauldin finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds and teammate Taylor Hardin added another 15 points for the Lady Panthers. Lakyn Smallwood contributed 12 points and nine rebounds.

Waldron's Chenoa Curdess scored 14 points and Jillian Davis netted 10.

Fouke (2-1) will play Lafayette County next Friday.

Redwater teams sweep invitaitonal

REDWATER, Texas-Reagen Markham scored 12 points in Redwater's final game Saturday as the eighth-grade Lady Dragons went on to defeat Jefferson, 39-26, to win the round-robin Redwater Junior High Invintational on Saturday.

In earlier games, Jefferson beat Maud, 38-7, with Katie Hartstell, Lezleigh Carrell and Libby Carroll each contributing two points in the Lady Cardinals' loss.

Redwater began the day with a hot start when it took down Bloomburg, 44-3. Kyndal Missildin and Markham led the Lady Dragons with eight points apiece. Bloomburg's Katie Mote scored two.

Bloomburg fell again in its next contest, losing to Jefferson, 51-12. Julia Simms scored a team-high three points in the loss.

Redwater got off to another fast start en route to a 57-14 win over Maud in its second game of the day, with Markham leading thing way for the Lady Dragons again, scoring 22 points.

Bloomburg finished its day off by getting in the win column when it defeated Maud, 18-7. Aubrie Kisser scored four points in the winning effort, while the Lady Cardinals' Carrell and Addison Roberts contributed four points each.

In seventh-grade action, Redwater girls won the invitational with its last game being a 32-4 victory over Jefferson. Avery Waldrop scored a game-high 10 points for the Lady Dragons.

Maud tipped off the invitational with a 23-7 win over Jefferson, with Jadyn Sanders scoring 13 points.

The Lady Dragons began their day with a convincing 28-8 win over Bloomburg. Meredith Craig led Redwater with seven points, while Jacey Glasgow scored four for Bloomburg.

After losing to Redwater, Bloomburg posted a 34-2 victory over Jefferson. Tori Clayton scored an invitational-high 22 points in the win for the seventh-graders.

Jaylen Autrey led Redwater to another win when they took down Maud, 14-7. Autrey scored five points, and Maud's Jordan Crowell led the Lady Cardinals with four points.

Maud came back out and edged Bloomburg, 17-16, and Jadyn Sanders put in six points for the Lady Cardinals.
