Dickerson scores 2 TDs, Hooks rolls past Queen City

QUEEN CITY, Texas-Phillip Dickerson scored four touchdowns three different ways, and Hooks cruised past Queen City Friday,
62-27.

Dickerson scored two rushing TDs, one from 20 and one from 4 yards out, an 80-yard kickoff return, and a 27 yard reception from quarterback Mason Vasquez.

Nick Sanders scored on a 19-yard TD run for Hooks, and teammate Marquiz Estell caught a 32-yard score from Vasquez. Estell also returned a blocked PAT kick for 99 yards for a safety.

Carter Duncan caught a 68-yard pass from Vasquez in the third quarter, and teammate Sanders had a 33-yard romp to paydirt. Teaondrick Wade had a 1-yard TD in the fourth quarter for the Hornets.

Dillon Scott got the Bulldogs on the board in the first with a 12-yard run. Kemya Hicks added a 1-yarder in the second quarter for
Queen City.

Austin Lowe caught a 28-yard pass TD from Scott in the fourth quarter for the Bulldogs. Isaiah Stiger scored two minutes later from 23 yards out for Queen City.

Hooks out-gained the Bulldogs on offense, 448-309 yards.

 

Mount Ida blanks Murfreesboro

MOUNT IDA, Ark.-Mount Ida defeated Murfreesboro at home, 48-0.

Jakob Allmon led the Rattlers offensively with five receptions for 65 yards.

Michael Hughes gained 22 yards on six carries for Murfreesboro.

Jarrett Faulkner gained 25 yards with one catch for the Rattlers.

Bryle Fatheree toted the rock three times for Murfreesboro, gaining six yards.

Andrew Keeney led the Rattler defense with 12 tackles.

 

Centerpoint wins

CENTERPOINT, Ark.-Horatio fell to Centerpoint on the road, 28-14.

Zach Izzo scored the Lions first touchdown on a 70-yard run in the first quarter.

Izzo completed a 80-yard pass to Taylor Chavez in the third quarter with Hunter Griffin completing the 2-point conversion.

Izzo completed two of seven passes for 86 yards with a touchdown and interception. Izzo rushed 11 times for 101 yards.

Panthers fall

FOUKE, Ark.-Fordyce defeated Fouke in a nail-biter, 26-22.

Fouke senior Jarrett Easley led the Panthers offensively with 15 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown. Easley also caught three passes for 125 yards with two touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Easley collected 13 tackles.

Panther quarterback Hunter Landsdell completed 11 passes on 22 attempts for 202
yards.

Charley Baker caught seven passes for 57 yards. Baker rushed for nine yards on six totes. Defensively, Baker led Fouke with 29
tackles.

Haiden Jones finished with 15 tackles for Fouke.

Kade Foster collected 13 tackles, while Adam Self added 12 tackles for the Panthers.

 

VOLLEYBALL

L-K sweeps

GLADEWATER, Texas-Linden-Kildare's varsity volleyball squad defeated Union Grove in three straight sets on the road, 25-23, 25-19, 25-22.

MaKayla Martin led the Lady Tigers with 10 service points, one ace and 18 digs.

Sierra Johnson added eight service points, one ace, 24 assists and one dig for L-K.

Skylar Vaughn and Amaya Savannah, each scored six service points for Linden-Kildare.

La'Keia Patterson finished the match with five points for the Lady Tigers.
