Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/STATON BREIDENTHAL --8/9/13-- Louise Rawleigh of Edmond, Okla., trims the paws on Brady, a toy poodle, Friday at Barton Coliseum as she gets ready for the Arkansas Kennel Club Confirmation show. The show hours are from 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. today and Sunday.

KICKOFF: 7:30 p.m., Harris Field.

LAST WEEK: The Panthers lost to unbeaten Anna, 35-19, and the Leopards fell to Paris, 16-8.

LAST YEAR: L-E won, 47-29.

GAME FACTS: Last week was the lowest point point total for the Leopards in two years, since a 24-7 loss to Paris. That season, L-E went on to win the district title and won it again last fall. North Lamar was 4-1 entering district play last season but went just 1-4 in league play. Liberty-Eylau is averaging 30.3 points per game and allowing 34.8, and the Panthers are scoring 29.3 and giving up 22.3 per game. The Leopards have won eight in a row in the series, dating back to 2008. The Panthers won the 2007 season opener over L-E, 21-20.

COACHES COMMENTS: North Lamar's Aaron Emeyabbi was unavailable for comment.

L-E's Steve Wells-"North Lamar's got a new system and a new coach. They run a lot of different formations, offensively. They run a lot of two-back looks and also get into spread formations. The quarterbacks runs pretty good, the running back is a pretty good athlete, and they've got a couple good receivers.

"Defensively, they've gone to a 3-3 stack look with a lot of cover-3. They've got some good looking kids. We've just got to be prepared and work on us. Offensively, we;ve got to do a better job of reading our keys and doing what we do. We didn't do a very good job of that the other night against Paris, and that was pretty evident by the amount of points we scored."

RADIO: KMJI 93.3, 7:15 p.m.
