Pleasant Grove's Georgia Cobb returns the volley against Prairiland on Tuesday evening. The Lady Hawks won 26-28, 25-18, 25-10, 25-20.

It's not how a team starts, but how it finishes.

After dropping the first set, Pleasant Grove kept the momentum of a second set win and defeated Prairiland, 26-28, 25-18, 25-10, 25-20.

"I am glad that we fought back after the first set, and we didn't let up in the third set," Lady Hawk head coach Amy Collvins said. "The intensity that we played with tonight had been lacking the last two weeks, and that is what makes it fun and wins games when it comes to volleyball."

Grace Pickelman took the serve for Pleasant Grove with the Hawks up 13-11 in the first set. Pickelman served in four in a row to give PG a 17-11 lead. During her flurry, Natalie Hale and Britton Anderson each put down a kill.

At 18-12, Prairiland got a kill by Baylor Sessums and took back the serve. Sessums served in four to make it 18-17.

Madi Morris put down two consecutive kills for the Hawks to knot the set at 21-all. After a seesaw battle, Prairiland took the serve at 26-all and got the last two points on two Pleasant Grove errors.

Anderson slapped in six straight points to give the Hawks a 12-5 lead in the third set. Allison Michaelis took serve with PG up 18-10, and served in seven winners to end the set.

The fourth set was a back and forth battle that featured 13 ties at 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, and 19-all.

Anderson took serve with the Lady Patriots up 19-18 and served in five straight to make it 23-19. The set ended on a Prairiland serve-receive error after a Sydney Hopkins serve.
