VAN, Texas-Liberty-Eylau registered its sixth straight victory as the Leopards defeated Van, 56-46, in varsity boys basketball action Friday.
The Leopards (11-3) had three double-figure scorers in Dominique Williams (15 points), Howard Barron (12) and Isaiah Cross (10).
The host Vandals (5-6) got a game-high 19 points from PJ Brooks. Van made more 3-pointers (8) than 2-pointers (7).
Liberty-Eylau plays Tuesday at Idabel, Okla. The Leopards beat the Warriors, 82-42, in the Gunslinger tournament in New Boston.

Hooks 3-0 in Quitman
QUITMAN, Texas-Hooks ran its record to 3-0 in the Quitman Invitational tournament by posting a 79-61 victory over Bells.
Connor Price paced the Hornets with 13 points and Nate Estell added 10.
Hooks defeated Rivercrest, 79-75, in a first-round game behind a trio of double-figure scorers, led by Price with 21, and Riley Hamilton and Benji Johnson with 12 each.
The Hornets then romped past Harleton, 62-32, with Hamilton leading the way with 19 points and Randall Green chipping in 10.
Hooks faces Winnsboro at 1:20 p.m. today.

Clarksville 53, Maud 20
MAUD, Texas-Clarksville built a 26-10 halftime lead and coasted to an easy 53-20 win over Maud in varsity girls action.
Annelise Flowers led the Lady Cardinals with 10 points. Asjah Griffin had 14 and LaQuesha Clark had 12 for the Blue Tigers.
