Trinity Christian loses at home to Bradley

Jakob Martin, who hit three treys, lit up the nets for 15 points, but Trinity Christian fell to Bradley, 51-46, at Wallace Edgar Arena on Thursday.

John Riley Kemp helped keep the Warriors in the game with 12 points, and teammate Reid Fellers added 11.

Trinity Christian (13-12) plays at Lafayette County today.

Alex Cobb paced the junior boys Warriors squad with 11 points, but Bradley won, 58-43.

Gracie Luckey poured in 12 points, but the junior Lady Warriors fell to the Lady Bears, 49-16.

Liberty-Eylau's Irving

earns spot in regionals

GILMER, Texas-Liberty-Eylau's Ashley Irving lifted a total of 990 pounds at the Gilmer Invitational power lifting meet and qualified for regionals with a first place finish.

The Lady Leopards finished fourth as a team.

Shi'Ann Evans placed second in the 165-lb class with a total of 560 pounds, while teammate Katelyn Byrom was third with a total of 495 pounds for Liberty-Eylau.

 

SUBVARSITY

L-E's 8th A earns championship

PARIS, Texas-Taliyah James, Bryanna Block, India Alridge, Breajanae Adams, and Kayla Crabtree each scored seven points to lead Liberty-Eylau's eighth grade A team to a 41-18 win over Paris.

With the win, the Lady Leopards' eighth-grade A squad (12-1) are district co-champions with Pleasant Grove.

Myah Hurd lit up the nets for 20 points, but L-E's seventh grade A team fell to Paris, 40-20.

 

TMS sweeps Sulphur Springs

Texas Middle School's eighth-grade A team defeated Sulphur Springs at home, 29-22.

Braylen Stewart and Jayden Godwin, scored eight points each for the Tigers and Javarous Tyson added seven points.

The eighth-grade B Tigers defeated Sulphur Springs, 32-14.

Zach Hughes led TMS with 11 points and Nate Mennie added seven points.

 

NHJH, El Dorado split

EL DORADO, Ark.-North Height's eighth grade girls squad defeated El Dorado on the road, 29-26.

Jaimya Montgomery led the Lady Backs offensively, scoring 13 points and Taylor Reed added seven points.

El Dorado defeated NHJH in the seventh grade contest, 29-13.

Seaira Watson led the Lady Backs with five points.

Keyuntae Featherson scored 11 points to lead Liberty-Eylau's eighth grade A team, but the Leopards fell to Paris, 40-33.

Zavaray Carter swished in six points, but Liberty-Eylau's eighth grade B team fell to Paris, 32-16.

Rodric Galloway made the winning shot as time expired, and Liberty-Eylau won the seventh grade A game, 30-29.

Tracy Rebels paced the Leopards with 11 points.

Jakobe Aubrey scored six points, but L-E lost the seventh grade B game, 19-14.
