Fouke girls beats Mena, 55-27

MENA, Ark.-Fouke trumped Mena 55-27 Tuesday night.

Taylor Hardin led the way for the Lady Panthers with 17 points including three triples.

Hannah Mauldin contributed 14 points to Fouke's offensive efforts, and Crysta Larey tacked on 10 points of her own.

In the opening quarter the Panthers put Mena in the deficit 12-2. By halftime Fouke had extended its lead to 16.

Tateli Thacker was Mena's offensive leader with 10 points.

At the start of the third frame the Panther's pick up where they left on in the second and rode the wave to the end.

Fouke hosts Nashville Friday at home.

McLEOD, Texas-McLeod triumphs over James Bowie 48-29 Tuesday night.

Shelby Davis led the Lady Longhorns (21-9, 10-4) with 12 points and Jillian Ellis complemented with 10 of her own.

McLeod will play a warm up game saturday against Trinidad in Frankston, Texas.

 

New Boston 45, Hughes Springs 37

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Zoe Lanier scored 11 points, but the Lady Mustangs fell to the Lady Lions.

 

 

Paris 63, Atlanta 50

PARIS, Texas-Sheveonia Smith poured in 26 points, but the Lady Rabbs fell to the Lady Cats in a District 14-4A game.

Kinsey Kelly helped out with 10 points for Atlanta.

 

 

McLeod 48, James Bowie 29

McLEOD, Texas-Shelby Davis led the Lady Longhorns (21-9, 10-4) to the win with a game-high 12 points.

Jillian Ellis contributed 10 points for McLeod.

McLeod will play a warmup game Saturday against Trinidad in Frankston, Texas.

Redwater 59, Hooks 57

REDWATER, Texas-Redwater came from behind to win 59-57 over Hooks Tuesday night.

The Dragons (12-13, 6-6) were down by seven points with 4:30 left in the fourth quarter; at the quarter's end Redwater had piled up 24 points, held back the Hornets to 18, and stolen the game.

Spencer Cowgill and Med Kapasi tag-teamed as offensive leaders for the Dragons with 19 points for Cowgill and 18 for Kapasi.

The first quarter tipped in Redwaters' favor 12-9, but hooks retaliated in the second to claim a five point leading going into halftime, 29-24.

Connor Price led the Hornets' sting with 17 points. Dolph Culwell added 11 points, and Marc Reiter tacked on 10 points of his own.

The teams nearly broke even in the third frame with Redwater only getting a slight edge, 11-10, to shrink Hook's lead down to four.

The Dragons laid claim to the final period; a fourth quarter come back on the road.

Redwater hosts Paul Pewitt Friday for Senior night.

Tradarian Craver led the Mustangs offensively, scoring a team-high 24 points and Chandler King added 13 points.

Sam Sanchez led the Lions offensive charge with 24 points and Deandre Robinson added 11 points.

LINDEN, Texas-LaDavian Johnson's 18 points was enough to propel Linden-Kildare past Avery at home.

Jamey Jackson led the Bulldogs in scoring, dropping a game-high 23 points and Cole Pasley added 14 points.

L-K defeated Avery in the junior varsity game, 42-30.

Mason Furlow led the Bulldogs with 13 points and Kagen McGuire added 11 points.

Mason Johnson led the Tigers offense with 10 points.
