THS tennis competes in Coriscana event

CORSICANA, Texas-Texas High's tennis team traveled to Central Texas and played well Saturday at the Coriscana Mentz Invitational.

THS was one of 18 teams participating at the event.

Cayli Clack, Conner Elliott and Landon Durham all walked away with first-place victories in the event for Texas High. Clack took the top spot in the girls' 'B' singles, and the team of Elliot and Durham placed first in the boys' 'B' doubles.

Walker Trippe and Jebin Justin placed third in the boys' 'A' doubles, while Tirzah Bailey won third in the girls' A' singles.

In the 'A' mixed doubles, Reagan Potts and Rhett Young finished in fourth place.

Gracie Morehead and Hollan Reed won the consolation prize in the girls' 'B' doubles.

Texas High will be back in action on March 2 when it travels to play in the McKinney, Texas, tournament.
