Texas High junior Antonia Porter was co-Player of the Year on the 16-5A girls all-district basketball team, chosen by the district coaches.
Porter shared the MVP award with Sulphur Springs senior Kaleigh Jefferson. The Lady Tigers and Lady Cats tied for the league championship.
THS coach Craig Collvins and his assistants also were co-Coaching Staff of the Year.
Mount Pleasant senior Summer Baldwin was the Defensive Player of the Year, and sophomore teammate Taryanna McNary was Newcomer of the Year.
Sulphur Springs junior Sadiva Porter was the Offensive Player of the Year, and Sulphur Springs' coaches shared the co-Coaching Staff of the Year.
Texas High had two first-team selections in Mia Wilson and Kerrighan Dunn, a junior and sophomore, respectively.
Lady Tiger juniors Kiasya Morrison and Maranda Miller were second-team choices.
