Texas High can wrap its 5A bi-district series against Lucas Lovejoy today at Tiger Field.
The Tigers, who beat the Leopards, 8-2, in Lucas Wednesday, host the Leopards at 7 p.m. in Game 2.
Texas High (24-5) built an 8-0 lead against Lovejoy (18-13) before a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh kept the home team from being shut out. The Leopards out-hit the Tigers, 8-4, in the game but committed three errors and issued nine free passes.
Should Lovejoy force a third game, it is scheduled for noon Saturday at Rockwall High School.
The winner advances to play either Frisco Lone Star or The Colony, who played Friday at Prosper.
The Texas High series will be broadcast ok KTXK 91.5 FM.
