AREA SPORTS: North Heights sweeps Hope

HOPE, Ark.-Seaira Watson's game-high 18 points was enough to propel North Heights Junior High's eighth grade girls squad over Hope Thursday, 36-9.

Keniyah Bryant added seven points for the Lady Backs.

Hope tied NHJH in their seventh grade game, 12-12.

Jenna Dupree and Diamond Criner each scored six points for the Lady Backs.

 

TMS trumps Hallsville

HALLSVILLE, Texas-Texas Middle School edged Hallsville in the first eighth grade game, 28-18.

Annie Powell led the Lady Tigers with 11 points.

TMS defeated Hallsville in the second eighth grade game, 10-8.

Faith Lockett led the Tigers with four points.

TMS beat Hallsville in the first seventh grade game, 23-17.

Cy Hopkins paced the Tigers with nine points.

The Tigers fell to Hallsville in the second seventh grade game, 17-5.

Dynasti Wardale led TMS with three points.

 

Boys

Red Lick, Queen City split

QUEEN CITY, Texas-Queen City defeated Red Lick in their eighth grade boys game, 29-26.

Logan Oas led the Bulldogs with seven points and teammate Jeremiah Drayton added five points.

Ethan Garvial led the Mustangs with 11 points, while teammate Ethan Bobo contributed seven points.

Red Lick defeated the Bulldogs in the seventh grade game, 31-19.

Wesley Bradford led the Mustangs with 19 points and teammate Dakota Denard finished with six points.

Clint Wiley paced the Bulldogs with five points.

 

Atlanta, Hooks trade wins

HOOKS, Texas-Jaylen Godwin's game-high 24 points was enough to help propel Atlanta past Hooks in the first eighth grade game, 38-22.

Kameron Dickerson added 10 points for the Rabbs.

Logan Davis led the Hornets with seven points and teammate Matthew Hays added six points.

The Rabbs defeated the Hornets in the second eighth grade game, 31-4.

Tre Washington scored three points for Hooks.

The Hornets defeated the Rabbs in the first seventh grade game, 26-23.

Keyshawn Walls led Hooks with 1o points and teammate Tomarion Smith added eight points.

Jalarian Andrews finished with a team-high 14 points for Atlanta.

The Hornets edged the Rabbs in the second seventh grade game, 9-8.

Tyler Gross led Hooks with nine points and Marquentin Owens led Atlanta with four points.

 

L-E tops Wildcats

Liberty-Eylau won both eighth grade games over visiting Paris, including a 35-16 victory in the A game.

Nate Gamble led the Leopards with 11 points, Marquarius Price added eight points, and R.J. Collins seven.

Cameron Leslie had 11 points for the L-E B team in a 22-21 win, and Omarion Patterson added five points.

Liberty-Eylau's seventh grade squad defeated Paris, 58-50.

Jamarcus Gray led the Leopards offensively with 24 points and teammate Ahkhari Johnson added 17 points.

Paris beat Liberty-Eylau in their seventh grade B game, 14-10.

Fred Trotter led the Leopards with five points.
