COACH GERRY STANFORD'S COMMENTS: "Overall, I was pleased with our defensive effort, and the kids battled against a really good team. We got better in a lot of spots.

"We've got a playoff scenario here, where we've got to go out and play great football against Sherman. This is the time we need to play our best football. We have to win against Sherman by 10, and we need to go out there and play our best game to give us the best chance. The message to the team was that we've got to play as a team to get it done.

"These next three games have to be about the team and playing for each other, trying to extend this season. We're still looking to play our best football in late October and November."
