Liberty-Eylau left no question.

The Leopards defeated Atlanta Friday night at Harris Field, 41-7.

"I was really proud of our effort," Liberty-Eylau head coach Steve Wells said. "We really picked up on special teams and did a lot better this week. We focused on that a lot in practice."

Jawan King put the Rabbs on the scoreboard on his 5-yard dash for their only score.

King finished with 17 carries for 54 yards and a touchdown.

"It's one of those games where everything clicked," Wells said. "Our defense played great and our offense did well also. I'm proud of our kids and their effort from start to finish.

"Now we have to focus on Argyle. They're going to be a load next week."

TJ Templeton scored for the Leopards on his 5-yard run in the third quarter with 7:04 remaining.

Dominique Williams caught a 5-yard pass from Isaiah Cross on the opening drive in the second half to put the Leopards up, 34-0.

Williams caught two passes for 25 yards and a touchdown for the Leopards.

"We had a few penalties but I'll have to look at the film to see what we did," Wells said. "All of our tailbacks did a heckuva job. TJ Templeton stepped in there and did a real good job.

"I thought Talveyion (Cooper) did great job of coming in and directing the offense too when Cross couldn't go."

Shayne Porche caught a 13-yard strike from Cross with 0:04 before halftime to put the Leopards ahead, 27-0.

Porche ended his night with three grabs for 55 yards and a score for Liberty-Eylau.

Cross completed 6 of 7 passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns for the Leopards. Cross also rushed six times for 103 yards for the Leopards.

Talveyion Cooper scored on a 14-yard run for the Leopards in the second quarter with 4:20 remaining in the half.

Korbyn White paced the Leopards ground attack rushing nine times for 87 yards.

"We had about six kids that were out of this game due to injury," Wells said. "I told our kids that some of the backups were going to get their chance. The good thing is hopefully we're developing depth for down the road with them getting some playing time and being in the fire.

"I'm also proud of our offensive line. They played well tonight."

Damian Henderson scored his second touchdown of the game on a 2-yard run in the second quarter with 7:57 remaining before halftime.

Henderson finished with eight totes for 34 yards and two touchdowns.

Henderson put the Leopards on the board first with his 1-yard dive in the endzone in the first quarter with 9:42 left on the clock.

Caleb Hamilton led Atlanta offensively rushing for 67 yards on 11 carries. Hamilton also caught a pass for 25 yards for the Rabbs.
