Hawks' 8th A rolls past Leopards

Savannah Russ and Rose Anderson each served 10 points to lead Pleasant Grove's eight-grade A team to a 25-9, 25-4 win over Liberty-Eylau at Hawk Gym.

Hailey Allen slapped in 19 points in the Lady Hawks' seventh-grade A victory, 25-6, 25-20.

Brooklyn Gibson had six service points as Pleasant Grove posted a 25-17, 25-15 victory in the seventh-grade B match.

 

Lady Pirates sweep Maud

MAUD, Texas-Emma Simmons served in 10 points to lead James Bowie's junior high A team past Maud, 12-25, 25-21, 26-24.

Jadyn Sanders paced the Lady Cardinals with 28 service points.

Skylar Reeves had 14 service points and teammate Alyson Cherry added 12 as the Lady Pirates won the B match, 13-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Jaiden Darden slapped in 18 points for Maud.

Lady Backs earn two victories

Laiken McKnight had 19 service points, including four aces, as North Heights' eighth-grade rolled past El Dorado, 25-13, 25-2.

Ashlynn Bratton had 12 service points, including three aces for the Lady Backs (13-1).

McKenzie Smith served in 12 points, including six aces, to power North Heights' seventh-grade team over the Lady Wildcats, 25-8, 25-8.

Jenna Dupree contributed eight points-three of which were aces.

 

DeKalb, Hooks A teams split

HOOKS, Texas-Tania Martinez served in 11 points as DeKalb won the 8th grade A match over Hooks, 25-18, 25-12.

Kaydence Hodge had four service points for the Lady Hornets.

Jaylynn was the lead server for the Lady Bears, the victor, in the 8th B match, while Hooks was led by Hailey Autrey.

Marleigh Smith and Kinsley Birdwell each had 12 service points, and the Hornets won the seventh-grade A match, 14-25, 27-25, 25-15.

Ashton Daniels slapped in 14 points for DeKalb.

The Bears' Shakira Steves and Hornets' Kyleigh Gerber were the two leading servers as the teams split the seventh-grade B match.

 

Queen City, Redwater teams win

QUEEN CITY, Texas-Landri Beckham served in eight points as Queen City defeated Redwater, 25-22, 25-19, in the eighth-grade A match.

Kaylon Partain contributed seven points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Jordan Jones had 13 points for Queen City in a 24-26, 25-16, 15-13 loss to the Lady Dragons in the seventh-grade A match.

Amanda Burden had six service points for the Bulldogs as the eighth-grade B teams split, 25-19, 5-15. Maggie Parker added five points on serve for Queen City.
