Good Friday at Razorback Field delivered a game for the ages.

Sheridan scored the go-ahead run in the 12th inning and clipped Arkansas High, 10-9, in a conference game on Friday.

"We competed better than I have seen us compete in a long time," Hogs head coach Layne Berry said. "It was 7-0 early, and we weren't going to lay down and die. The guys just kept fighting and fighting and fighting.

"Both teams had several errors. We have to make some routine plays that we didn't make. I'm proud of the guys for battling and staying in there."

Haydn Finley smacked an RBI double to deep center to put the Yellowjackets up 10-9 going into the bottom of the 12th.

With two outs and the bases loaded a Hog batter grounded out to shortstop to end the game.

Cody Adcock took the hard-luck loss, threw six innings, struck out nine, walked two and gave up just two runs on three hits.

The Yellowjackets scored a run in the 11th on an RBI single by Jackson Sorey. The Hogs turned a double play and a runner was caught stealing to end the threat.

Braylon Bishop, who had singled to right, scored on an error for Arkansas High to make it 9-9 going into the 12th inning.

By the bottom of the third, Sheridan held a commanding 7-0 lead on five hits and five Hog errors.

Preston Bunch doubled down the first base line to lead off the third for Arkansas High. Bunch moved up to third on Jadas Ross' sacrifice bunt and scored on Graydon Martin's fielder's choice.

Jadas Ross crushed a 2-run homer to left field in the third for Arkansas High in the fifth. Bishop tripled to deep right field and scored on Drake Browning's double to left center.

Browning took third on passed ball and scored on an error to inch the Hogs closer, 7-5.

The Yellowjackets tacked on an insurance run in the sixth to take a 4-run lead going into the bottom of the seventh.

Facing a huge hurdles, the Hogs rallied for three runs in the seventh to force extra innings.

Ross reached and moved up to second on a throwing error. Graydon Martin walked. Each Arkansas High runner moved up a bag on a wild pitch. Bishop smacked a sacrifice fly to center to inch the Hogs closer, 8-6.

Martin scored on an error to make it 8-7.

Browning smashed a solo round tripper over the center field fence to knot it at 8-all for Arkansas High.

Floyd Hill started for the Hogs, tossed 2 2/3 innings, and gave up seven runs on five hits. The game lasted four hours.
