LONGVIEW, Texas-Liberty-Eylau's varsity boys and girls each won the Class 4A area track and field championship at Spring Hill High School on Wednesday.
The Leopards totaled 123 points for the win, while the Lady Leopards blew out the competition with 204 points.
Gilmer's boys were second with 115, while Spring Hill had 109 points for third place.
Kilgore's girls were a distant second with 75 points with Gilmer in third with 70.
Isaiah Cross won the high jump for the Leopards.
The Liberty-Eylau 4x100 relay team of Tavieon Neal, Marzavin Riles, Shayne Porche, and Korbyn White crossed first.
Neal, Riles, Porche, and White also earned gold in the 4x200 relay for the Leopards. Cross, Riles, Marquis Bailey and Neal were the first place team in the 4x400 relay.
Pleasant Grove's Linton Colvin earned the win in the 400 meters.
Keeley Morris had the best long jump, high jump, and triple jump for the Lady Leopards.
Chelsea Simmons, Danielle Thomas, Lamiah George, and Laqukeisha Jeffery were first in the 4x100 relay for L-E.
Simmons, Breanna Webster, George, and Jeffery earned gold in the 4x200 relay for the Lady Leopards.
Webster, George, Kurstyne Bailey and Skylier Bailey posted the fastest time in the 4x400 relay for Liberty-Eylau.
Thomas had the best 200-meter time for the Lady Leopards.
