Lady Tigers top Royse City

ROYSE CITY, Texas-Antonia Porter's game-high 19 points helped Texas High defeat Royse City in a District 15-5A girls basketball game, 72-65.

Kiasyia Morrison added 18 points for THS, while teammates Amiyah Rone poured in 16 points and Kerrighan Dunn contributed 12 points.

The Lady Tigers won the junior varsity game with Royse City, 34-18.

Amari Morrison led the Tigers with eight points and teammate Jacia Colllins added seven points.

Texas High edged Royse City in the freshmen game, 35-34.

Braveon Hunt and Jaylen Henderson, each collected 12 points for the Tigers.

NEW BOSTON, Texas-Colton Davis' 19 points helped propel Queen City past New Boston at Lion Gym on Tuesday in a varsity boys basketball game.

Easton Fincher added 18 points for the Bulldogs.

Jamin Powell scored a game-high 20 points for New Boston and teammate Angel Recendiz contributed 10 points.

ATLANTA, Texas-Daimion Collins lit up the nets for 14 points as Atlanta defeated Redwater in a district matchup.

Charlie Powell added 10 points for the Rabbits (22-3, 5-0).

Parker Gravitt had a game-high 16 points for the Dragons, while teammate Gabe Menah swished in 14.

JEFFERSON, Texas-Adriana Kennedy led Hughes Springs with 10 points, but the Lady Mustangs took a loss at the hands of Jefferson.

 

Rivercrest 44, McLeod 25

BOGATA, Texas-Gracie Lance led McLeod with nine points, but Rivercrest rolled to the 19-point victory.

Tigers nip Hawks

With the match knotted at 1-all after regulation, Texas High edged Pleasant Grove, 6-5, after penalty kicks to earn the win at Hawk Stadium.

Anthony Mejia scored in the second half to tie the match for Pleasant Grove.

Zach Iglesia, Aaron Malone, Mejia, and Dillon Williams each made penalty kicks for the Hawks.
