Lady Leopards earn third district win

PARIS, Texas-Bryana Block scored a game-high 16 points to lead Liberty-Eylau to a 63-33 victory over North Lamar in a district game on Tuesday.

Kyla Coston had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Leopards. Daycoria Meadows also had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds for Liberty-Eylau.

Kayla Crabtree paced the Leopards' junior varsity with 12 points, and L-E won 41-31. Teammate Breanna Webster added 10 points.

Liberty-Eylau (21-10, 3-1) plays at Pittsburg on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

McLeod 50, Linden-Kildare 9

McLEOD, Texas-Peyton Taylor had a game-high 13 points as McLeod zipped past the Lady Tigers.

McLeod built a 25-6 halftime lead and kept going. Cary May, who hit four treys, finished with 12 points for the Longhorns.

 

Malvern 42, Hope 40

HOPE, Ark.-Ranayzia Miller and Mariuna McClenton each scored 15 points, but the Lady Leopards scored 20 points in the final quarter to edge the Lady Cats.

Hope (2-9, 0-6) plays at Mena on Friday at 6 p.m.

ELYSIAN FIELDS, Texas-The Lady Mustangs were outscored 6-3 in overtime and fell to the Lady Yellowjackets.

Calli Stewart paced Hughes Springs with 11 points, while teammate Zoe Lanier added nine.

 

New Boston 74, DeKalb 38

NEW BOSTON, Texas-Four different players scored in double digits for the Lady Lions as they powered their way to the win.

Grace Duffer, who knocked down four shots from 3-point land, had a game-high 12 points for New Boston. Lauren Hurst, Carlee Ratcliff, and Carleigh Reeves each scored 10 points for the Lady Lions.

Kynli Holder and Hope Murphy each paced the Lady Bears with nine points.

New Boston (14-12, 7-0) hosts Atlanta at 5 p.m. on Friday.

GENOA, Ark.-Carlos Vanhook scored 21 points for Prescott, which won the middle quarters, 36-11, to beat the host Dragons in conference play.

Jordan McDonald drained four 3-pointers for Genoa Central and finsihed with 14 points, and D.J. Rowe added 11 for the Dragons, who held a 15-7 lead after the first quarter.

Josie Walls ripped the nets for 10 points as Genoa Central's junior girls defeated Prescott, 28-25.

Oliva Turley scored seven points for the Lady Dragons.

HOPE, Ark.-Dakovon Blackmon torched the nets for 40 points to help Malvern rally in the fourth quarter for a 7-4A win over host Hope.

Keyonta Harris led the Bobcats with 12 points, and Jaydon Riley added 10 points for Hope, which plays at Mena on Friday.

Ashlyn Garner booted in the winning goal off an assist from Katie Hutcheson as the Lady Hawks defeated the Lady Panthers.

Sophia Tuttlebee had the first Pleasant Grove goal off an assist from Aubrey Oller to knot the match at 1-all in the final minute of the first half.

Pleasant Grove hosts Greenville on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
