Lady Tigers softball team prevails on Senior Night

Sarah Rogers goal in the second half gave Texas High the edge to top Sulphur Springs on Senior Night at Tiger Stadium at Grim Park, 1-0.

Logan Pilgreen's save in the final seconds of the first half kept the contest tied, 0-0, at the half. Pilgreen finished with seven saves for tyhe Lady Tigers.

Rogers' set a school record with career goal No. 82.

 

AHS falls to Benton

BENTON, Ark.-Arkansas High (4-2, 0-1) fell to Benton at Panther Stadium in their girls varsity match, 6-0.

Cecile Barnes ended the match with 15 saves for the Lady Backs.

The Lady Backs are back in action on Friday, hosting Hot Springs at 5 p.m.

SOFTBALL

Redwater trumps QC

QUEEN CITY, Texas-Queen City fell to Redwater Tuesday night, 10-0.

Belote was 1 for 3 at the plate to lead the Lady Bulldogs at the plate.

 

Hooks edges DeKalb

HOOKS, Texas-Hooks held on to their lead after a DeKalb rally in the seventh inning to win Tuesday, 6-5.

Lexi Frachiseur received the win in the circle for the Lady Hornets.

Izzy Daniels, Sidney Pardue and Abby Russ, each contributed three hits in the win for Hooks.

 

Smackover
over Ashdown in extras

SMACKOVER, Ark.-Abby Crawford's 10 strikeout outing helped Smackover beat Ashdown in extra innings, 6-5.

Kara Earnest led the Lady Panthers at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and teammate Blaire Gentry was 1 for 4 with a homerun in the first inning.

Aleya Hill finished the contest going 2 for 4 for Ashdown and teammate Lannah Huddleston finished the night going 1 for 4.

Brooklyn Smith went 1 for 2 with a RBI at the plate for the Panthers.

Nashville blanks Bauxite

NASHVILLE, Ark.-Tristen Jamison's eight strikeout performance helped the Nashville run-rule Bauxite at Scrapper Field, 13-0.

Ty Gordon led the Scrappers at the plate with three hits and 2 RBI, while teammate Cason Drummond added two hits with 3 RBI in the rout.

 

L-K beats Rivercrest
in eight

LINDEN, Texas-Mason Jones' 11 strikeouts helped Linden-Kildare defeat Rivercrest at Tiger Field Tuesday night, 4-3.

Trey Schuler led the Tigers with a triple and 2 RBI, while teammate Dalton Alford added a double.

HORATIO, Ark.-Horatio run-ruled Mena at Lion Field Tuesday night, 12-2.

Easton Leonard received the win on the hill for the Lions and also had 3 RBI at the plate.

Blake Pickett led Horatio at the plate with three hits and teammate Wyatt Marshall added two hits.
