Arkansas High wins two at tourney

IDABEL, Okla.-Floyd Hill tossed a 1-hitter, struck out five and walked two to lead the Hogs to a 8-0 win over Soper at the Idabel baseball tournament on Saturday.

Jackson Harris went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI, while teammate Drake Browning had a 2-run double for Arkansas High.

Braylon Bishop threw two innings, got the win, struck out four, and walked four as the Razorbacks rolled past Haworth, 11-3.

Harris tripled and was 2 for 2 with 3 RBI for Arkansas High. Browning and Cody Adcock slapped a 2-run double each for the Hogs.

 

Ashdown 6, Pleasant Grove 1

ASHDOWN, Ark.-Cody Flowers pitched a complete game, gave up six hits, and had 5 Ks as the Panthers defeated the Hawks in the championship game of the Dugan Ward baseball tournament.

Flowers, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, smacked an RBI double. Carter Day was 2 of 3 with an RBI for Ashdown.

Jackson Cobb doubled for Pleasant Grove.

Redwater 16, Queen City 1

QUEEN CITY, Texas-Preston Davis threw a 2-hitter and struck out nine as the Dragons run-ruled the Bulldogs.

Malcolm Brown was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI, Noah Fernandez was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI, and Peyton Davis was 2 for 3 for Redwater.

The Dragons (6-8-1, 2-0) host DeKalb on Tuesday.
