Hogs crush Trojans in run-rule victory

HOT SPRINGS, Ark.-Cody Adcock threw a no-hitter to lead Arkansas High to a 12-0 win over Hot Springs on Friday.

Adcock tossed five innings, struck out 11 and walked one.

Drake Browning was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI for the Razorbacks, while teammate Jackson Harris was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI.

Braylon Bishop smacked a 2-run double for Arkansas High, while Adcock and Graydon Martin had two hits each.

Warriors edge way past Bobcats

HOPE, Ark.-Paul Nix threw 108 pitches, struck out eight, and earned the win as Trinity Christian defeated Hope, 6-4.

Paul Nix helped his own cause as he had 2 RBI, and teammate Shawn Brown also had 2 RBI.

George Leopard tripled, doubled twice, and had an RBI for the Warriors. Silas Nix had a pair of hits, and Evan Miller and Brett King had a hit each for Trinity Christian (3-1).

 

Bulldogs pull away late

DeKALB, Texas-Tristen Mayfield hit a go-ahead, 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth to lift Queen City over DeKalb, 4-2.

Mayfield went 3 for 4 with a double and 4 RBI. He was the winning pitcher as he gave up two runs on six hits and struck out four.

Jordan Wiley had two hits for the Bulldogs.

 

Rabbits roll past Hornets

ATLANTA, Texas-Kade Wood threw five innings and struck out seven to help Atlanta defeat Hooks at Rabbit Field, 9-1.

Jake Thompson, Andy Samples, and Cooper McClure contributed two hits apiece for Atlanta.

McClure, Kolby Mason, and Max Ebarb had 2 RBI apiece for the Rabbs.

 

Softball

Lady Pirates thump Lady Bulldogs

SIMMS, Texas-James Bowie run-ruled Avery in a girls varsity district softball game.

Addy Hammonds got the win in the circle for the Lady Pirates.

MaKenzie Hilton led James Bowie at the plate with a home run, three singles and an RBI.

Josie Grant added two singles and 2 RBI for James Bowie, while teammate Sheridan Byram finished with two singles with an RBI.

The Pirates play at Linden-Kildare on Tuesday.

Track and Field

Nelson leads Warriors at relays

ASHDOWN, Ark.-Trinity Christian junior Rhett Nelson scored points in his three events at the annual Panther Domtar Relays on Thursday.

Nelson placed second in the pole vault at 15-0, and would have gone higher, but broke his pole at his 16-0 attempt. He has a personal best of 17-2.

Nelson placed fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a 44.54, and eighth in the 100-meters, 11.82.

Macy McLean, a freshman, continues to impress as she placed in two events. She was fourth in the 1600-meter run, 6.11, and second in the pole vault, 7-6.

Shawn Brown placed fifth in the discus with a toss of 115-03.
