Liberty-Eylau scored at the end of the game for a 14-13 victory over Redwater at H.E. Markham Park on Friday.
Although it looked like a missed extra-point, it wasn't a football game.
Marzavin Riles led off the bottom of the seventrh inning with a triple, and scored moments later on a throwing error for the victory at H.E. Markham Park.
Riles also had three singles, reached on an error, and scored five runs to lead the Leopards' 12-hit attack.
Redwater's Peyton Davis also had an outstanding, and kept the Dragons in contention with a grand slam home run, two doubles, two singles, and five RBI.
It was a back-and-forth game with several lead changes in a loosely played game with several errors and numerous walks.
After L-E took a 2-1 lead in the first inning, Redwater erupted for seven runs in the second for an 8-2 advantage.
It was in this inning that Davis hit the grand slam. Mason Robertson, Preston Davis, and Malcolm Brown also had a single each.
The Leopards came right back in the bottom half with a five runs on four hits to draw within, 8-7. Kevin Garza, Riles, Matthew O"Neal, and Blake Carter had a single each.
After a scoreless third inning, the Dragons increased their lead to 10-7 with two runs in the fourth, but L-E took the lead, 11-10, with four runs in the bottom half. Riles, Drew Langford, and Stanley Gage had a single each around a pair of walks.
Redwater regained the lead, 12-11, in the fifth with two runs on two hits. Peyton Davis had a double and Skeet Roberts a single.
The Leopard took the lead again in the bottom of the fifth with two runs on just one hit, taking advantage of a walk and an error.
After a scoreless sixth inning, Redwater kept the game alive with a run in the seventh to tie the contest, 13-13. Peyton Davis had a single, and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Silas Cowgill.
Riles then ended the game with his triple and run in the bottom of the seventh.
