LINDEN, Texas-Pleasant Grove's varsity boys and Queen City's varsity girls won first place in the Bill Hines Tiger Relays at Jack Hetherington Stadium on Thursday.
The Hawks totaled 135 points, James Bowie was second with 123, and Paul Pewitt third with 114.5.
The Lady Bulldogs racked up 140 points, Linden-Kildare was second with 120, and Pleasant Grove third with 80.
Pleasant Grove also won the junior varsity boys' competition with 172 points, Queen City second with 104, and McLeod third with 96.5.
Top Hawk varsity boys finishers included Sergio Rodriguez (100 meters), Linton Colvin (400 meters), the 4x200 relay team of Riley Durmon, Rodriguez, Bruce Garrett and Nick Martin, Martin (triple jump), and Quinn Bingham (pole vault).
Evan Barron won the 300 meter hurdles, the high jump, and the long jump for the Pirates. Teammate Jay Franco crossed the line first in the 800 meters.
Paul Pewitt's Kadrien Johnson, Travis Smith, Dillon Coffey and Daryl Turner took gold in the 4x400 relay. Kendrell Webster had the best discus throw, and teammate Demarcus Hill was best in the shot put for the Brahmas.
Da'Vion Tyson, Ty Patterson, Ladavion Johnson and Marquise Jones earned first place for Linden-Kildare in the 4x100 relay. Tyson won gold in the 110 hurdles for the Tigers.
Queen City's JC stone placed first in the 1600 meters and second in the 800 meters.
McLeod's Jaden McGray put up the best time in the 3200 meters.
Top finishers for Queen City's varsity girls were McKinlee Russell (100 meters), the 4x100 team of Xavia Owens, Ivori Larry, Emma Baker, and Nyla Harrison, the 4x400 team of Neci Larry, Ivori Larry, CeCe Walker and Harrison, the 4x200 team of Neci Larry, Harrison, Ivori Larry, and Walker.
Chyna Stiger had the best discus throw for the Lady Bulldogs, while teammate Walker was first in the high jump.
Peyton Turner was first in the pole vault, 300 meter hurdles, and triple jump for Linden-Kildare.
Trinity Brantley won two events for James Bowie-the 1600 and 3200 meters.
Pleasant Grove's Hanna Snyder was fastest in the 200 meters, and teammate Jazzmin Hever won the 400 meters.
Clarksville's LaQuesha Clark won the long jump, and teammate Chakyrah Griffin had the best shot put throw.
Alyssa Hall crossed the line first in the 800 meters for McLeod.
Top Hawk junior varsity boys finishers included Logan Johnson (100 meters), KJ Hicks (200 meters), Jaylon Phillips (400 meters), Gage Stivers (pole vault), the 4x100 relay team, the 4x200 relay team, and Antonio Watkins (triple jump and long jump).
Watkins, Johnson, Hicks, and Johnathan Ketchum were the members of PG's 4x100 team. Watkins, Johnson, Hicks, and Corbin Shine were the 4x200 foursome for the Hawks.
