After losing the first game of the best-of-series against Rivercrest, Linden-Kildare bounced to win the next two games in the Region II, Class 2A baseball quarter-final match.
Linden-Kildare erupted for 10 runs on just six hits in the first inning, and went on to an easy, 12-2, run-rule victory Saturday evening at Paris Chisum High School's Mustang Field.
The start of the game was delayed for over two hours because of weather problems.
The Tigers (16-7) now advance to play Woden later this week in the Region II semi-finals. The playoffs start Thursday at Whitehouse starting at 8 p.m. The best of three series resume Saturday at 4 p.m. If a third game is necessary, it will be also be played Saturday after Game 2.
Mason Johnson was the winning pitcher, backed up with an eight-hit attack.
Trey Schuler had a triple and single and one RBI.
Nic Kunze also had a triple and single and an RBI.
Jacob Owen chipped in with two singles.
