Torie Blair led the ground attack with 26 carries for 96 yards and a pair of touchdowns, covering 21 and 1 yards. PK Christian Stewart kicked a 19-yard FG midway through the fourth quarter to make it a 2-possession game.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: DeShannon Patterson and Michael Bowman both had fumble recoveries for the Razorbacks.

COACH BARRY NORTON'S COMMENTS: "Before the game, I told them that is going to be adversity, and how we shake that off and play the next play is going to be huge. All I could ask them to do was play as hard as they possibly could for four quarters, and we won.

"I knew there would be a lot of mistakes. It's the first ballgame — we didn't have a scrimmage — it's an intracity rivalry, with a bunch of kids who had never played on Friday nights. I can not fault our kids at all for how hard they played. They gave us everything they had; now we've got to clean up all the mistakes."
