LAST WEEK: The Tigers punched a playoff ticket from District 7-5A, Division I with a 41-14 win over West Mesquite.

THIS WEEK: Texas High (6-4) travels to Lufkin (9-1) for a 5A, Div. I bi-district game against the Panthers.

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS: RB Tracy Cooper rushed 29 times for 193 yards and four touchdowns, and WR Kobe Webster had foru catches for 110 yards and two scores. QB Rian Cellers connected on 9-of-19 passes for 197 yards, two TDs and no interceptions. Cellers also rushed five times for 46 yards.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: The Tiger defense limited the Wranglers to 221 yards of total offense, and both scores came after the game was decided. THS had eight takeaways, including six interceptions. S Marquavius Fisher had nine tackles to lead the defense, and Fisher and LaJontae Wrightner each had two interceptions. Caleb Arnold and Jalen Jones added a pick each, and Derrick Brown and Christon Surratt had fumble recoveries. Brown had six tackles, Clayton Smith had five and a sack, and Jackson Halter also had five stops. DeVaughante Jack had four tackles and a pair of sacks.

COACH GERRY STANFORD'S COMMENTS: "The last four weeks, including the open week, we've been getting better. We're healthy right now, have been these last four weeks, and we've peaked at the right time. The biggest improvement has been our preparation each week, and we look to continue to improve in the playoffs."
