LAST WEEK: The Tigers fell behind 48-14 at halftime and a second-half rally came up short during a 62-41 loss to McKinney North.

THIS WEEK: Texas High (3-3, 0-2) travels to Mesquite Poteet (2-3, 1-0) for a Thursday night game.

OFFENSIVE STANDOUTS: QB Brayson McHenry threw for 344 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in his second start. RB Tracy Cooper rushed for 84 yards and a TD on 17 carries, and WR Kobe Webster and TE Clayton Smith each had two scoring receptions. Webster caught three balls for 125 yards, and Smith had four grabs for 72 yards.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS: S Caleb Arnold had nine tackles to lead the Tiger defense, and LB Jackson Halter added eight stops. DeVaughante Jack had seven solo tackles, and Jalen Jones and Javarous Tyson had six tackles each. Clayton Smith recovered a fumble.

COACH GERRY STANFORD'S COMMENTS: "The biggest part was about four minutes in the second quarter where the score went from 21-14 to 48-14. During those four minutes, we just didn't play real well. And it was us doing it to ourselves, more or less: two turnovers on special teams, an interception and a couple things here and there where we hurt ourselves.

"McKinney North is a quality opponent and has a really good chance of winning our district. We've got to get back to taking care of ourselves, know that we control our own destiny, and we need to work hard."
