TORONTO-Justin Smoak's first two home runs of the season, a tying drive in the ninth inning and two-run shot in the 10th, led the Toronto Blue Jays over the Texas Rangers 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Rougned Odor homered on Marco Estrada's second pitch of the game, the first leadoff home run of Odor's big league career.
The lead stood until Smoak connected on Shawn Tolleson's third pitch of the ninth inning, a drive over the scoreboard in left center-field.
Edwin Encarnacion singled against Phil Klein (0-1) leading off the 10th, Troy Tulowitzki struck out and Smoak homered to left. Toronto won despite going 0 for 9 with runners in scoring position.
Joe Biagini (1-1) pitched two innings of two-hit relief for the win, completing a six-hitter.
Texas starter Martin Perez, pitching on five days' rest in his first regular-season game against Toronto, gave up four hits and three walks in five innings.
Estrada (2-1), who complained of a sore shoulder during his start against the Chicago White Sox last Wednesday, allowed two hits in six innings, throwing 88 pitches. He beat Texas and Perez in Game 3 of last year's AL Division Series.
After Smoak's ninth-inning homer, Toronto loaded the bases before Jose Bautisa flied out.

Rangers: RHP Yu Darvish, who missed the 2015 season following Tommy John surgery, threw a 15-pitch batting practice in Arlington under the supervision of minor league pitching coordinator Danny Clark. Darvish is set to make his second injury rehabilitation start on Friday for Triple-A Round Rock against New Orleans.
