VICTORIA, Texas-Coltyn Kessler slugged a two-run home run in the ninth as the Texarkana Twins defeated the Victoria Generals, 16-10 on Monday.
Hunter Southerland, Avery George, Dylan Ditzenberger, Caleb Lassaigne and Peyton Faulkner each had an RBI in the first to give the Twins an early 5-0 lead.
The Generals scored four unanswered runs over the next four innings to close the gap, 5-4.
Nigel Smith smacked a double with the bases loaded as three runs scored to give the twins an 8-4 lead in the sixth. Cam Hill drove Smith in on a single to make it 9-4.
Faulkner and Jalynn Keys each had an RBI single for Texarkana, and Cam Hill added a two-run double. Southerland drove in a run on a sacrifice fly to pad the Twins' lead, 14-6.
