YOUNGSVILLE, La.-After finding some chemistry the last couple of weeks, the Texarkana Twins find themselves again struggling on the road.
Texarkana (9-9) allowed six runs before scoring its first in the seventh to let the Acadiana Cane Cutters cruise to a 9-4 victory to complete the two-game sweep.
The Twins, however, did attempt a rally in the ninth as it scored three runs, but it wasn't enough as Acadiana stymied the late effort to hold on for the win.
The Cane Cutters scored nine runs on nine hits, while Texarkana was only able to push in four runs on seven hits, while committing four errors.
Texarkana will be back home Monday to host the Victoria Generals in a two-game series, followed by another homestand against the Cane Cutters on Wednesday and Thursday. All games have a scheduled 7:05 start.
