NEW BOSTON, Texas-It looks like Bowie County residents looking to buy property will have at least 107 pieces of property to choose from.
Bowie County commissioners approved a list of 107 tax-delinquent properties for resale by the Bowie County Sheriff's Office at a future auction. Of the properties, most are in Texarkana, but a few are in DeKalb, Hooks and New Boston.
In other business, commissioners approved a calendar list of 10 holidays for which the courthouse will be closed in 2017. The list includes eight national holidays and two religious holidays. The ninth national holiday-Nov. 11, Veterans Day-falls on a Saturday next year.
