Stamps man arrested on 1st-degree murder charges

David McClendon of Stamps, Ark., has been arrested on charges of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Ricardo R. Martin, 29, of Stamps.
Martin was found unresponsive from a gunshot wound Friday afternoon at a residence in Stamps. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department was contacted at 8:51 p.m. Friday about the discovery of the body in a residence at 1112 Hope Road.
The Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation with assistance from the Stamps Police Department, Lafayette County Sheriff's Office and the Lewisville Police Department, Lafayette County Sheriff Obie Sims said.
McClendon remains in the Lafayette County jail in Lewisville pending his first appearance in circuit court. No age was available for McClendon.
McClendon's bond has been set at $500,000.
