Fouke man, 73, to stand trial in child porn case : Ronald Antoniello is facing 30 counts

A jury of Miller County citizens is expected to decide next week whether a 73-year-old Fouke, Ark., man is guilty of possessing a large cache of child pornography.
Ronald Antoniello was arrested in September 2014 as the result of an investigation by the Cyber Crimes Division of the Arkansas Attorney General's Office, according to search warrant documents used to create the following account. He is facing 30 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child in Miller County.
A jury was chosen Monday to decide the case though opening statements, and testimony are scheduled to begin Dec. 6 before Circuit Judge Brent Haltom because of the court's schedule. The state's case is being handled by Will Jones, a special prosecutor with the Attorney General's Office who specializes in cyber crimes. Antoniello is represented by Texarkana lawyer Carolyn Whitfield.
A computer crimes investigator focusing on internet crimes against children allegedly determined images of known child pornography were being shared from Antoniello's internet service provider number on equipment at his residence on County Road 10 in Fouke.
A search of Antoniello's home Sept. 3, 2014, led to the seizure of videos allegedly showing very young children engaged
in sexual conduct with adult men and women. According to documents attached to the search warrant affidavit, investigators seized computer equipment, photographs, sexual comic books and playing cards, CDs, DVDs and handwritten notes.
Antoniello faces a fine up to $10,000 and the possibility of three to 10 years in prison on each of the 30 counts pending against him. Antoniello is free on a $150,000 bail bond.
