ASHDOWN, Ark.-Law enforcement officers and emergency management teams are searching for a man who is missing in woods southeast of Ashdown in Little River County.
The missing man's name was not immediately available.
The man and his brother were in the woods about 10 a.m. Monday morning checking on some survey marks when the man fell down. His brother went to get help, but the man who fell was gone when the brother returned, said Don Hale Jr., director of Little River County Office of Emergency Management.
"The woods he is in are pretty thick. We have flown a helicopter and drones and have not been able to find him because of the thick cover of leaves," Hale said.
The Ashdown Police Department and Little River County Sheriff's Office are performing the search along with the Office of Emergency Management and volunteers from the community.
