Trial dates scheduled for two suspects in July 2016 Mineral Springs bank robbery

Trial dates have been scheduled for two of the alleged suspects in the bank robbery of Diamond Bank in Mineral Springs, Ark.

The pre-trial court dates will be April 5 for Tatyana McBee, 18, and Byron Coleman, 30, both from Tulsa, Okla. The trial date has been scheduled for April 25 in the Little River County Circuit Court in Ashdown. The suspects were arrested in Tulsa.

The suspects are accused of robbing the Diamond Bank in Mineral Springs about 3 p.m. July 25.

The two allegedly entered the bank, got the money and exited the building within about two minutes.

The surveillance recording shows the robbery with the suspects leaping over the counter and filling the bags with cash from the drawers.

Clothing believed to have been worn by the bank robbers were found discarded in the Mineral Springs city park about six blocks from the bank.

Physical evidence was also found such as clothes, hats and bags. The robbery triggered a study for discouraging potential bank robbers.

As a deterrent for future bank robbers, the Diamond Bank offered a proposal to house the Mineral Springs Police Department in the bank building.

The Mineral Springs City Council approved moving the police department to the bank building Thursday during a called council meeting.
