Three-day event starts Thursday, will focus on intimacy with God

The Alabaster Box Conference, An Intimate Encounter with the King, will be a three-day event presented Thursday through April 1 at Greater Heights Ministries, 3310 Jefferson Ave.
Kimberly Smith, event organizer, says she believes some people's relationships with God need to be brought back in alignment and they need to be reconciled with Him, healed and strengthened.
The only guaranteed way she knows to achieve this is to become intimate with God, she said.
"The theme is 'An Intimate Encounter with the King,' and each session has a specific emphasis: Thursday, inner healing and deliverance; Friday, ministry of restoration; and Saturday, anointing for service," she said.
Topics and presenters on Thursday are "Spiritual Abuse," Kimberly Smith; "Overcoming Church Hurt," Deaundray Tolbert and Nereyida Alvarez; for the youth, "Making the Bible Relevant for 2017," Jerrah Surrat; and the "closer," Ellason Castiglione of Clean Heart Ministries, Hot Springs, Ark.
Friday's topics and presenters are "Gift of Mercy," Dorothy Battle; "Ministers Need Ministering To, Too," Clyde White; "An Attitude of Servitude," Polly Dowden; "F.I.T. for the Kingdom," Sandy Landrum; and the "closer," Labrichia Collins of Pilgrim MBC in Mandeville, Ark.
Saturday's topics and presenters are "Activating the Prophetic," Marcy Williams; biblical games/activities for the youth, Lanita Clayton; and the "closer," Lavon Piker of Blacksmiths, Warriors, and Reapers Ministries of Fouke, Ark.
The events occur at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday with intercessory prayer 15 minutes before the services.
Dinner, for a $7 donation, and vendor shopping will be between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
