The 4-States Marching Contest was held Oct.7 with Redwater ending up as the day's big winner. The band, led by director, Jay Sutton, won both Outstanding Band and Color Guard awards.
Other awards went to Benton for Outstanding Drum Major and Airline for Outstanding Percussion.
At the end of the day, nine high schools came away with sweepstakes: Atlanta, Benton, Fouke, Liberty-Eylau, Mount Pleasant, Pleasant Grove, Prairiland, Queen City and Redwater.
